Deborah Dickson, with the help of her artistic grandson, recently put together Always Kiss Me Goodnight, her personal story of losing her mother. Deborah’s Mom became ill and died within three weeks; Deborah was 19 and had three brothers, nine, 11 and 17. At that time, you didn’t talk about your feelings. She’s spent her life working with children and felt there weren’t enough resources for them when a loved one passed away. Deborah’s book is being used by local social workers, mental health experts and palliative care professionals to help children deal with loss.
