Rosemary’s career with CL-CH began in 1985 with the responsibilities of finance, payroll, secretarial and administration. She took the role of Executive Director in 1992.
According to Rosemary, there have been highlights each and every year; being part of the evolution of services from the days of Suncoast Enterprises (Sheltered Workshop), to the Supported Employment Program, and from welcoming people from the closure of institution, to increasing the number of homes in the Central Huron community and the number of individuals living independently.
When Rosemary began her career with CL-CH, funds that the dedicated volunteers raised were done by way of pie sales, bake sales, selling tickets on quilts, blankets and things of that nature. She explained that now dedicated volunteers raise funds through the Heartwarming Luncheon held in February, the annual golf tournament held in June and a Christmas mail out campaign.
Looking forward to retirement, Rosemary said her family does too, as they have been supportive over the years. It is difficult to say what exactly retirement will bring, but family, travel, volunteering and gardening will be part of it.
