Contract Respite Worker provides respite support as a self-employed contract worker to adults and/or families with children with developmental or physical disabilities, and/or mental health concerns; assists with personal care if required; works closely with Adults and/or Parents/Guardians to determine routines and goals through Huron Respite Network.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age
Must have a G license
Demonstrate a personal philosophy and practice regarding the inclusion of all people
complete a screening process (including successful Vulnerable Sector Check and Children’s Aid Society Check
At least one year of experience with children or adults with disabilities
$2M insurance liability
Must value community inclusion and commitment
First Aid and CPR
Experience working as a DSW, EA, or ECE is considered an asset
