Shannon Boughen had a dream of writing a children’s book. Growing up in small town, Goderich, Ontario allowed her to create many strong friendships. Shannon believes friendship is accepting people’s differences, and supporting one another to help strengthen our weak spots. She feels life is about having fun, enjoying friends and family, and dreaming big!
In the book, Linkin has three best friends. They couldn’t be more different than him: Joey is a free spirit who never ties his shoes and loves to draw on everything. Sadie never wears matching colours and has older siblings. Amelia matches all the time but has no idea what she wants to be when she grows up. Linkin has his own sense of style including his hearing aids and loves playing sports more than anything. But even though they’re all so different from each other, they’re still best friends.
